“AMERICAN PICKERS” STAR COMING TO HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO SIOUX CITY

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (December 8, 2015) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City is offering fans of History Channel’s hit reality show “American Pickers” the opportunity to meet one of its biggest stars in person. Frank Fritz, one half of the dynamic picker duo from the longtime series, will visit Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City for a public meet and greet on Friday, December 11.

“American Pickers is huge,” said Todd Moyer, General Manager at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City. “Frank has some amazing stories to tell, and we’re very excited to bring him in so fans can meet him in person. It should be a lot of fun.”

Fritz got his start in picking early, collecting rocks and beer cans during his childhood. He worked as a fire and safety inspector for many years before pursuing his passion for antiques and junk. Fritz now spends all of his time on the road, digging for treasure in barns, garages, and junkyards across America.

Fans will have the chance to connect with Fritz at 8:00 p.m. at the meet and greet area next to the World Tour Buffet. The meet and greet is free of charge and open to all ages.

“American Pickers,” currently in its eighth season, is a reality TV show based on antiquing. Fritz and his colleague, Mike Wolfe, drive coast-to-coast, scouring the country for hidden gems and meeting quirky characters along the way.

“Plenty of people may not know the show has a cool tie to Iowa,” Moyer continued. “Frank’s picking partner and co-star, Mike Wolfe, actually owns a specialty antique and vintage shop in Le Claire, Iowa, which makes this stop even more special.”

In addition to the meet and greet, Fritz will be hosting a drawing at 10 p.m. where one lucky winner will get a chance to win up to $5,000 cash.
