HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO SIOUX CITY BRINGING GIN BLOSSOMS, HEAD EAST, & BLUE OCTOBER
SIOUX CITY, IOWA (December 17, 2014) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City has confirmed five new performances for the early part of 2015. The concerts, to be held in Anthem, include:
- Friday, February 6 – Winter Dance Party
- Saturday, February 7 – Head East
- Friday, February 27 – Puddle of Mudd
- Saturday, February 28 – Gin Blossoms
- Friday, May 1 – Blue October

John Mueller’s “Winter Dance Party” ® is the official live and authentic re-creation of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper’s final tour and the only show endorsed by the Holly, Valens and Richardson estates. Each live concert performance includes over two hours of unbridled, high voltage entertainment featuring all the hit songs of the 50’s era: That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Oh, Boy, Rave on, La Bamba, Chantilly Lace, and many, many more.
The legendary classic rock band Head East has long set the standard for authentic, full-vocal, goodtime rock harmonies that few bands can equal. Puddle of Mudd is an American post-grunge band from Kansas City, Missouri. To date the band has sold over seven million albums, and have had a string of No. 1 mainstream rock singles in the United States. Their major-label debut Come Clean has sold over five million copies They have released two independent and four major albums, with their latest being Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate in December 2009, and their latest compilation album being re:(disc)overed, released in August 2011.
For more than two decades, Gin Blossoms have defined the sound of jangle pop. From their late 80s start as Arizona’s top indie rock outfit, the Tempe-based combo has drawn critical applause and massive popular success for their trademark brand of chiming guitars, introspective lyricism, and irresistible melodies. Gin Blossoms soon unfurled a chain of crossover favorites spanning five different formats, from “Hey Jealousy” and “Until I Fall Away” to “Follow You Down” and the GRAMMY®-nominated “As Long As It Matters,” earning the band sales in excess of 10 million in the US alone.
