Rock the Cure is presented by Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Klinger Companies to support the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. It’s a benefit concert being held on April 9, 2022 – join us to shake off your winter blues, feel the rhythm, and let’s beat cancer together.
Proceeds from this year’s Rock the Cure will go towards funding a new PET scanner at the Cancer Center. The June E. Nylen Cancer is committed to providing the most advanced cancer treatment in the region and that requires state-of-the-art technology. Positron emission tomography (PET) is an important tool in the diagnosis and staging of cancer, including re-staging throughout treatment. The current PET scanner at the Cancer Center is 11 years old and is being replaced this year, a $2.4 million investment into cancer care in Siouxland.
This year’s Rock the Cure concert features The Spazmatics, the ultimate ‘80s theme band. Complete with skinny ties, Brill Creamed hair, and horn-rimmed glasses, The Spazmatics recapture all the best sounds, styles, and dance moves from the 1980’s decade. Outstanding musicianship combined with creative flair and style makes for an evening of pure energy and entertainment. If you want to be sent back to the rad ‘80s, The Spazmatics are the bodacious and gnarly experience!
