Organizations teaming up to bring magic of Broadway to Sioux City
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (January 26, 2016) – Today, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City and Missouri River Historical Development (MRHD) have announced an agreement to jointly sponsor Broadway at the Orpheum. The combined efforts of these local sponsors will help the Orpheum bring major Broadway hits to Siouxland, including the Tony award-winning musicals Million Dollar Quartet and Jersey Boys.
“Our team is absolutely committed to providing world class entertainment for everyone in Siouxland,” said Todd Moyer, general manager of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City. “By partnering with MRHD and the Orpheum to continue bringing Broadway shows to town, we’ll keep our city’s entertainment scene diverse and thriving. We’re really excited to help make that happen.”
In addition to Million Dollar Quartet and Jersey Boys, Broadway at the Orpheum’s spring 2016 series will feature Ragtime the Musical and Disney in Concert Magical Music from the Movies.

By joining forces with Hard Rock, this sponsorship can help make a meaningful impact on Sioux City.”

The 2016 Broadway at the Orpheum series continues this week with The Million Dollar Quartet on Wednesday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. The Tony award-winning musical is inspired by the electrifying true story of the famed recording session that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. Tickets for this show and others in the 2016 Broadway at the Orpheum series can be purchased online and at the Orpheum.
