The Winter Warning Tour
(Hed)p.e. & The Veer Union
Thursday, June 9, 2016 / 8 pm / Anthem
By utilizing heavy, dark riffs and deep, solid grooves, (Hed)p.e.’s unique style of metal, Rasta, and punk-infused rock n’ roll has become a voice for the movement that empowers youth and explores Secret World History, while at the same time promotes unity and political activism
“I believe (Hed)p.e’s longevity is due to the fact that our records are more than just music,” concludes lead vocalist Jahred. “Some of the greatest artists have used their music for social commentary. Bands like Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, Sex Pistols, and The Clash, have all empowered their fans to rise up to fight injustice. Since we’ve got involved with The Truth Movement, I’ve heard from thousands of fans who are excited that we’re using our music to explore things other than girl and boy problems. The best bands use their music for more than dancing and getting wasted.”
California-based (Hed)p.e. rocking out their message on the Anthem stage is sure to be a can’t-miss performance! Their new album “Evolution” is also in stores now.
Totally 80’s Tour
Missing Persons, Bow Wow Wow & Trans-X
Thursday, June 23, 2016 / 8 pm / Anthem
Famed as much for their video-ready space-age image as for their synth-heavy music, the Los Angeles-based New Wave outfit Missing Persons formed in 1980. Despite changing band members, the band is still going strong now. Today, lead singer and Missing Persons founding member Dale Bozzio rocks stages across the country with the band’s new line up performing the greatest hits “Destination Unknown,” “Words,” “Here & Now,” “Give,” “Walking In L.A.,” “I Like Boys,” “Windows,” and more!
Thanks to Dale’s unique voice and campy look of bright pink hair and sci-fi outfits, Missing Persons’ music videos found success in the early 80’s on the fledgling MTV network. Concert-goers can see the spectacle live when the band takes their rockin’ show to the Anthem stage.
BOW WOW WOW
Bow Wow Wow’s music ranges from simple, goofy, non-sensical tunes to complex, crisp pop masterpieces. Their music has been described as a pastiche of Latin and African beats, 50’s rock-n-roll, and Spaghetti Western soundtracks. The band has packaged all of this together with an incredible sense of humor and vigor that they will bring to the Anthem venue.
Thursday, June 30, 2016 / 8 pm / Anthem
Formed in January of 2011, Jade Monkey has a sound all their own with a distinct combination of rock, alternative and pop. This combination is likely due to the eclectic mix of band members who came from a variety of former bands. This experience has allowed Jade Monkey to move ahead and perform in many iconic events such as Sturgis and Awesome Biker Nights and now Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City’s one-of-a-kind Anthem stage.
Satisfaction – The International Rolling Stones Show
Thursday, July 7, 2016 / 8 pm / Anthem
“Satisfaction- The International Rolling Stones Show,” the touring tribute show to the “World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band,” will be paying a visit to Anthem and performing over 50 years of well-known hits. Performing up to 150 shows a year, this highly acclaimed production showcases the most authentic cast and costuming of its kind featuring the likes of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and cast. The must-see show has been also featured in Rolling Stone magazine, Showbiz Magazine, Las Vegas Today, CBS Sunday Morning news and hundreds of national newspapers, magazines, television and radio shows as the world’s greatest show honoring the Rolling Stones and their legacy.
