STARS OF A&E’S STORAGE WARS COMING TO HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO SIOUX CITY
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (October 2, 2015) –This October 17th, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City is offering fans of A&E’s hit show Storage Wars the opportunity to meet two of its stars in person. Rene and Casey Nezhoda, buyers from the longtime reality series, will visit Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City for a two-hour public meet and greet.
“We’re thrilled to host Storage Wars stars Rene and Casey,” said Todd Moyer, General Manager at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City. “The show is great and has a huge following, and we’re excited to give fans in Siouxland an in-person opportunity to meet their favorite thrifters.”
Storage Wars, going on its ninth season this fall, is a reality TV show based around the Californian law that allows storage facilities to put abandoned units up for auction. Only being able to view the contents of the units from afar, bidders compete for the contents of the lockers with the hopes of striking gold.
Rene and Casey have been a part of the Storage Wars family since the show’s fourth season. Rene is most recognized for his German accent, as he was born in Austria and raised in Frankfurt, Germany. Together with his wife Casey, the two own a 7,000 square foot thrift shop, Bargain Hunters, outside San Diego, California where they sell their Storage Wars finds. Rene started the hobby of buying and selling pretty much anything he can get his hands on at the young age of 11. Now the Nezhodas comprise the husband-and-wife team of “Bargain Hunters” and are sure to bring the heat on this upcoming season of Storage Wars.
Fans will have the chance to connect with Rene and Casey from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Meet & Greet area next to the World Tour Buffet. The meet & greet is open to all ages.
In addition to the public meet and greet, Rene and Casey will host a $15,000 Storage Wars Giveaway. Five lockers will be filled with $15,000 in cash; one lucky contestant will be invited to cut the lock off of one of the lockers – and the cash inside is theirs to keep, up to $5,000!
