SIOUX CITY, Iowa (March 17, 2017) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City has hosted over 100 nights of comedy in its award winning venue, Anthem. The line-up of performances continues to impress with upcoming comedians like Jeff Dye from his hit show “Better Late Than Never” and “Chelsea Lately” writer Fortune Feimster.

Mr. Showtime David Scott is more than just a stand-up comedian. He is an entertainer and showman with a show that has been called “Sharp-witted”, “Clever”, “Classy” and “Pure Energy.

Starting his career in the vibrant San Francisco comedy scene, San Francisco Weekly described Grant as “a hilariously sharp observer, not one of those tired white-guy bellyachers.” A former collegiate soccer player, Grant decided to pursue a career on stage instead of on the field. As well as performing in a number of other prestigious comedy festivals including The Great American Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Grant performed on the TV show Comics Unleashed. He has appeared on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show and is heard regularly on Sirius/XM satellite radio. As well as being a contributing writer for the Huffington Post, the short film he wrote and starred in, Interview Date, was eligible for a short film Academy Award in 2013. Funny or Die, MSN, Huffington Post and others are among the sites that have featured Grant’s sketch videos on their home pages.

Jeff Dye stars in NBC’s new eclectic comedy adventure series “Better Late Than Never.” This exciting project will follow the travel of Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman as Jeff gives the adventure of a lifetime. Jeff is coming off of NBC’s alternative comedy-variety series hit called “I Can Do That.” Dye is a nationally touring comedian, actor, host, prankster and Bigfoot enthusiast. Raised in Seattle, this class clown started doing comedy at Giggles Comedy Club right out of high school and was first nationally recognized on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” where he finished third after only three years into his comedy career.
Since then he has had two of his own shows on MTV (“Money From Strangers,” “Numbnuts”), his own “Comedy Central Presents” special and stared on numerous other TV projects, including “Girl Code” and “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Dye’s passion is bringing love and positivity through laughter to everyone he encounters.

Rob Little’s outlook on life can be summed-up in two words:  Pure Optimism. Watch Rob in action, and you’ll agree that he is one of the very best stand-up comedians in the country.  A sketch comedy player on the Fox Sports Net Show, “The Best Damn Sports Show Period” and “Last Call with Carson Daly,” Little uses his training from the world famous Second City Comedy Club to create routines that are inventive, funny, spontaneous, and completely unique. He headlines clubs and colleges all over the country, has appeared in national television commercials and on such shows as Comedy Central’s “Distraction,” Fox News and SiTV’s “Latino Laugh Festival.”  He also earned a role on the CBS network summer hit series, “Fire me Please.”   Having established himself as one of the funniest, most progressive, new comedians in the country, it’s easy to understand why entertainment bookers call him “The Future of comedy with more contagious energy than the Energizer Bunny.”

FORTUNE FEIMSTER

Fortune Feimster, who first made a name for herself as a performer and writer on “Chelsea Lately,” has quickly risen to new heights having sold an autobiographical TV pilot with Tina Fey and is now in a recurring role as Nurse Collette on “The Mindy Project.” Fortune first made her TV debut in 2010 on “Last Comic Standing” where she finished as a semi-finalist. Since then, Variety named her one of their “Top 10 Comics to Watch” in 2014. She’s appeared on “Glee,” “Two Broke Girls,” “Workaholics,” “Drunk History,” “@Midnight,” and “Conan.” She’s also had a recurring role on Fox’s “Mulaney” and E’s “After Lately.” When not acting, Fortune is headlining standup comedy clubs all over the country.

JR BROW

J.R. Brow went to college, became a standup comic, and eventually toured 49 states and four continents with his guitar in hand.  His original standup comedy instantly won over young and old fans alike.  Almost immediately, J.R. marched to the finals of the San Francisco Comedy Competition.  He has opened for performers like Dana Carvey, Ray Romano, Bill Hicks, and Steven Wright. He’s recently been featured on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” as well as many other television spots along the way.

MARK POOLOS

Mark Poolos was born and raised in Edina, Minnesota. To start his career he co-starred in two independent films “Attack of the Killer Snow Cone Zombies” and “Joanie Loves Furbies.” He did more films, some commercials and some theater but it wasn’t enough, so he began his stand-up comedy career. Mark stands 6’7″ weighs in at 350 technically a giant however he is very weak and a wimp. In his routines he weaves story of his life as a bumbling jolly giant in his fast engaging story telling style. He has been compared to Louie Anderson. Mark is a true road dog, performing in 40 states and all across Canada. Mark’s ultimate dream is to do a film that people actually will have seen.

A past winner of the prestigious Seattle International Comedy Competition, Gabriel has made television appearances on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Nickelodeon’s Nickmom Night Out, and the nationally syndicated Comedy.TV and Comics Unleashed. He is also a frequent guest on the Bob and Tom radio show, heard in over 150 cities. Gabriel has performed at the HBO/TBS Comedy Festival in Las Vegas, the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, and the Great American Comedy Festival held in Johnny Carson’s home town of Norfolk Nebraska.

UNCLE LAR

Known as Uncle Lar’, Larry Reeb is the wise-cracking black sheep, politically incorrect relative everyone knows. Like any concerned relative Uncle Lar’ wants to help. So in his own twisted way he does. He gives you “tips”. Uncle Lar’ offers tips on everything from marriage to lotteries to children. Always topping them off with, “That’s a tip from your Uncle Lar’.” Uncle Lar’ is a regular on “The Bob & Tom Show,” syndicated in over 100 markets. Larry has been voted Chicago Comedian of the Year and has made numerous television and radio appearances. His tips are tops. His inflections infectious. And the fans are fanatics.
