HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO SIOUX CITY RECEIVES THREE MEMORABILIA GUITARS FROM UPCOMING BATTERY PARK PERFORMERS

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (June 27, 2018) – Now through the end of summer, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City will have three new memorabilia pieces on display: a guitar from Nickelback, Incubus and The Offspring. All three bands are scheduled to perform in Battery Park this summer.

The guitars are on temporary loan from Hard Rock International. Hard Rock International is the world’s original curator of music memorabilia with the most far-reaching collection.  The more than 80,000 piece collection, which celebrates new and legendary music icons, is the world’s greatest collection of music memorabilia.

Hard Rock memorabilia is showcased at Hard Rock Cafes, Hard Rock Live venues and Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos around the world.  A full-time staff oversees all aspects of the Hard Rock collection – from research and initial procurement of an artifact to its cataloging and maiden installation at a Hard Rock location.  Among the pieces in the collection are photos, guitars and other instruments, clothing and costumes, platinum and gold LPs, posters and album art and other rare artifacts.  Hard Rock updates the memorabilia displays to ensure customers have the best rock music memorabilia and entertainment experience.

“We love having the opportunity to bring in special memorabilia pieces to our property for instances just like this,” stated Mike Adams, director of marketing and hotel operations. “Guests and fans of the bands love seeing these unique pieces when they visit.”

These guitars, on display for the summer only, are located along the corridor by Main + Abbey and the World Tour Buffet.

ABOUT THE NICKELBACK GUITAR

Canadian rock band Nickelback is one of the most commercially successful Canadian groups, having sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. They formed in 1995 and are known to be one of the most popular rock bands of their generation.

Donated guitar, the Epiphone Les Paul, was decorated with nickels as an homage to Canadian rock juggernaut Nickelback. It was signed by the band and auctioned to raise funds for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame museum.

ABOUT THE INCUBUS GUITAR

Formed in 1991 while still enrolled in high school, Incubus is known to be one of the most successful American rock bands of the early 2000s. Original Incubus Bassist, Dirk Lancem, used this Tacoma acoustic bass for many performances during the band’s rise to fame – including the group’s April 2, 2000 appearance on the MTV “120 Minutes” program.

ABOUT THE OFFSPRING GUITAR

One of the most successful bands of the 1990s pop and punk era, California quartet The Offspring sold millions of albums worldwide with massive hits like “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy).” The entire group signed this Les Paul-style guitar.
