COUNTRY ARTIST CANAAN SMITH TO PERFORM IN ANTHEM
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Monday, May 4, 2015) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City will host country artist Canaan Smith on August 1st at its entertainment venue, Anthem. Tickets can be purchased on Saturday, May 9 at 10 a.m.
Since his 2011 country music debut, Canaan Smith has transformed from an up-and-coming songwriter to a chart-topping artist. Smith’s compelling single “We Got Us” launched his perforamnce career and positioned him as an artist to watch in the country music scene. Since “We Got Us,” Smith has been touring with country music stars Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, and Florida Georgia Line. His sophomore single “Love You Like That” has been climbing the country charts since its release in late April.
“I’ve been on the road for two and a half years since “We Got Us” and I’ve grown so much,” said Smith. “It’s my job to make sure the crowd has a good time, and that’s so important to me because my live show is such an integral part of what I do.”
When he’s not performing, Smith is working on his new album, Bronco, and writing for fellow country superstars – including Love and Theft and Jason Aldean. Growing up in Williamsburg, Virginia, Smith listened to everything from George Strait to Rage Against the Machine. This ecclectic taste is evident in his own music, he is both a down-home country boy and a boisterous thrill-seeker. His latest album showcases this range in emotion, with songs he hopes resonate with audiences across the nation.
