Sixteen local bands will be chosen to compete by late December, and preliminary rounds begin on January 7th. Each week on Thursday, two bands will perform 30-minute sets for live audiences and a panel of judges in Anthem. Cash prizes will be awarded to both bands each week, and the winner will advance to the next round. Participants will be judged based on marketing efforts, musicianship, and crowd reaction.
