THE DICKIES TO PERFORM IN ANTHEM AT HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO SIOUX CITY

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Feb. 20, 2019) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City announced today that punk rock band The Dickies will perform at Anthem next month. The Dickies, who currently hold the title as the oldest active punk band in the world, will perform on March 17 for a special St. Patrick’s Day performance.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, and may be purchased at www.hardrockcasinosiouxcity.com or in-person at the Rock Shop. All events in Anthem are for guests 21 years and older.

The DIckies formed in 1977 and quickly rose to fame in the punk rock industry. They were the first L.A. punk rock band to score a major label deal with A&M Records, the first California punk band to perform on network television and the first American punk band to tour in Europe. They currently hold the title as the oldest active punk band in the world, having played and actively touring for more than 40 years; their predecessor was the Ramones.

Since the band’s formation, they have released seven studio albums and eight live albums. Notably, they wrote and performed the theme music for the 1998 horror film “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” and the 1990 comedy film “Spirit of 76.” Their most recent album, “Banana Splits,” was released in 2016.
