MOVILLE & LAWTON FIRE DEPARTMENTS EACH RECEIVE $2,000 DONATION FROM HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO SIOUX CITY
Donation is recognition for volunteerism at the 2017 Battery Park Concert Series
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (October 16, 2017) – The 2017 Battery Park Concert Series ended just over a month ago, but the thanks continue to roll in for those who assisted with this major summer concert series. This past weekend, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City donated $2,000 to both the Moville Fire Department and the Lawton Fire Department for their instrumental role assisting with security and crowd control at the concert series this summer.
Nearly 25,000 concert-goers visited Battery Park this year for sold out shows like Journey, Willie Nelson, Alanis Morissette and Five Finger Death Punch. “The public safety men and women of these two fire departments were a critical asset in our public safety initiatives,” said Scott Knutson, Director of Security at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “Their volunteerism for us and all of Woodbury County deserves recognition. We greatly appreciate their assistance.”
