SIOUX CITY, Iowa (March 7, 2016) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City has announced the legendary classic rock band, Boston, will perform in June as part of the second annual Battery Park Concert Series. The series, which debuted mid-2015 in the renovated Battery Park outdoor venue, brought more than 25,000 people to star-studded concerts throughout the summer.

The “More than a Feeling” artists will be coming to Sioux City as part of the Boston 40^th Anniversary Tour to perform a multitude of hit songs that include “Amanda,” “Peace of mind,” and “Foreplay/Long Time.” The band’s debut album is the second highest selling debut album of all time, selling more than 20 million records since its release in 1976.

“It’s an honor to host such an iconic classic rock band like Boston,” said Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Entertainment Manager, Brad Streeter. “Their hits still get people to turn up the volume and sing the lyrics out loud. They’re a perfect fit for Battery Park’s outdoor series and it should be a great concert.”

Boston is one of the first concerts in the 2016 outdoor lineup to be announced. This February, the entertainment destination also announced headlining entertainment for Awesome Biker Nights 2016 to perform in Battery Park, including impending rock ‘n’ roll hall of fame inductees, Cheap Trick featuring Edgar Winter, in addition to bands In This Moment & Pop Evil.

The full lineup for the Battery Park Concert Series will be announced at a later date.

“Boston is just one of several great concerts we have lined up for the summer concert series this year,” Streeter continued. “We’re feeling a lot of anticipation leading up to the series announcement, but the news is worth the wait.”

Tom Scholz’s band, BOSTON, became an iconic classic rock fixture when they joined the music scene with their self-titled album in 1976. With over 17 million copies sold, Boston generated hits such as “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” and “Smokin’,” rock staples that are still in heavy rotation today. Guests will be treated to soaring harmony guitars, wild Hammond organ work, and exceptional vocal arrangements, as well as BOSTON’s unique visual stage presentation and plenty of extra-terrestrial sounds heard nowhere else on Earth.

Boston is celebrating the 40^th anniversary of their classic debut album by booking a round of tour dates that will keep the group’s current lineup in front of fans throughout the summer. The tour is scheduled to begin April 29 and includes 14 concerts.
